Shoprofy — Profit Analytics

Information We Collect

When you install Shoprofy, we collect the following data from your Shopify store to provide the service:

Store domain and OAuth access token (required for Shopify API access)

Order data — order IDs, revenue, line items, shipping costs, financial status

Product data — titles, descriptions, images, tags, variant information

Customer data — anonymized identifiers only; we never store names, emails, or personal details

Store configuration you set within the app — product costs, fees, ad spend, preferences

Ad platform tokens — Facebook and Google OAuth tokens for spend sync (stored encrypted)

✓We do not access or store your customers' personal information (names, emails, addresses). All customer analytics are computed using anonymized identifiers.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to power the Shoprofy service. Specifically:

Calculating profit margins, COGS, net profit, and financial analytics

Generating AI-powered SEO recommendations via Anthropic Claude (product titles and descriptions only — no personal data)

Fetching competitor pricing via SerpAPI Google Shopping search (product title sent as search query)

Sending scheduled email reports if you opt in via Settings

Displaying LTV, RFM segmentation, and cohort analytics using your order history

Data Storage & Security

We take security seriously and apply multiple layers of protection:

Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in Frankfurt, Germany — EU data residency

Encryption in transit: All data transferred over HTTPS/TLS 1.3

Encryption at rest: AES-256 encryption on all stored data

Access tokens: Shopify and ad platform tokens are stored encrypted and never exposed in client-side code

Application hosting: Vercel (edge network, US/EU)

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Anthropic Claude

AI SEO analysis — product titles & descriptions only, no personal data

SerpAPI

Competitor price search — product title sent as a Google Shopping query

Email delivery for scheduled profit reports (only if you opt in)

Meta (Facebook)

Ad spend sync via OAuth — requires your explicit authorization

Google Ads

Application hosting and edge functions

Data Retention

We retain your store data for as long as your Shoprofy subscription is active.

Upon uninstalling the app, your access token is immediately revoked

You may request full data deletion by emailing support@shoprofy.com

We will permanently delete all your data within 30 days of your request

Your Rights

Depending on your location (including GDPR for EU residents), you have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you

Correction: Update inaccurate data

Deletion: Request complete removal of your data ("right to be forgotten")

Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format

Objection: Object to specific processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@shoprofy.com. We respond within 30 days.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of Shoprofy after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
